Canada Soccer, MatchWornShirt Unveil Exciting new Partnership to Bring Fans Closer to the Game and Game-Worn Jerseys

MatchWornShirt, the premier global destination and online auction marketplace for authentic sports memorabilia, has expanded further into North America by signing an official partnership with Canada Soccer.

To mark the partnership launch, MatchWornShirt will host game-worn & signed jersey auctions for Canada Soccer’s Men’s and Women’s National Teams, beginning June 3rd with the second of two Women’s National Team (CANWNT) matches against Haiti. Furthermore, Canada jerseys from this summer’s Concacaf Gold Cup and next year’s FIFA World Cup matches will be available on MatchWornShirt.com as soon as games kick off.

“Soccer has an incredible ability to unite people, and in Canada, the passion for the sport is growing every day. We’re proud to partner with Canada Soccer to give fans across the country direct access to authentic, game-worn jerseys from both the Men’s and Women’s National Teams. Every jersey tells a story – from the pitch to the collector – and this partnership brings those stories closer to the fans who live them,” said Tijmen Zonderwijk, CEO and Co-Founder of MatchWornShirt.

“This exciting partnership with MatchWornShirt allows us to create new experiences for our fans and supporters in Canada and beyond. By providing the unique chance to own worn and signed jerseys from their favourite players, we are bringing fans closer to the game they love and giving them the opportunity to celebrate moments of history in Canadian soccer,” shared Dominic Martin, Director, Marketing at Canada Soccer.

The partnership is also in collaboration with the Canadian Soccer Players’ Association (CSPA) and the Canadian Men’s National Soccer Team Players Association (CMNSTPA). Starting XI jerseys will be made available to fans and collectors this year, with the full squad available from 2026.

“It is wonderful that passionate fans will now have the opportunity to add a new connection to the amazing athletes on both the Men’s and Women’s National Teams by owning a treasured piece of Canadian Soccer memorabilia,” said Stu Crystal, General Manager of Brevettar, the exclusive licensing agent for the CSPA and the CMNSTPA.

About MatchWornShirt

MatchWornShirt was founded in 2017 by brothers Tijmen and Bob Zonderwijk after a simple idea sparked a global movement. What started as a search for an Ajax jersey for their father—a lifelong fan— has grown into a leading global auction platform for match-worn and signed football memorabilia. Today, MatchWornShirt partners with over 300 top clubs including global powerhouses like Chelsea F.C., AC Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain, and also offers collectibles from a wide range of sports including rugby, cricket, and cycling. MatchWornShirt understands the critical value of authenticity to sports fans, and every jersey on the platform is equipped with Fabricks™, a proprietary authentication technology that provides each owner with a secure, personal digital certificate verifying its origin and match use. MatchWornShirt brings fans closer to the game—one jersey, one moment, one memory at a time.
