May 7th, 2025 – Gatineau, QC – Diving Canada is excited to announce the return of the Canada Cup of Diving, a World Aquatics recognized event, taking place from June 5 to 8, 2025, at the Centre sportif de Gatineau. This international competition will feature top divers from 10 nations including Canada, Australia, USA, Japan, South Korea, Colombia and Cuba, in an exciting showcase of skill and athleticism.
Thanks to the generous support of the Ville de Gatineau, this event is completely free for the community! It’s a rare opportunity to watch world-class athletes compete live—and it’s all happening right here in Gatineau.
While admission is free, spectators are encouraged to reserve their tickets in advance at www.diving.ca/canadacup and stay informed about the event schedule.
“We’re thrilled to be back in Gatineau for an international diving event—our first time back since we hosted the FINA Diving Grand Prix in 2017,” said Penny Joyce, Chief Executive Officer of Diving Canada. “The Gatineau Diving Club has been a fantastic partner in bringing this event to life, and their dedication makes a real difference. One of the reasons we love coming to Gatineau is the incredible community of volunteers who go above and beyond to create a welcoming and world-class experience. ”
The event will feature all eight Olympic events:
- 3m Springboard (Men & Women)
- 10m Platform (Men & Women)
- 3m Synchro (Men & Women)
- 10m Synchro (Men & Women)
- Plus the new and exciting Mixed Team Event
With the start of a new Olympic cycle, the Canada Cup will be a key stepping stone for the next generation of athletes looking to gain valuable international experience. It will also mark the return to competition for some Paris 2024 Olympians, as they dive back into action after a well-earned break.
For young divers in the region, the event represents not only a unique opportunity to see their idols perform at their own training facility, but also a powerful source of inspiration.
“We are incredibly proud to collaborate with Diving Plongeon Canada and to host the prestigious Canada Cup at our facility,” said Caroline Mongeon, President of the Gatineau Diving Club. “It’s thrilling to have the opportunity to shine a spotlight on diving in our region—especially alongside such elite athletes. We are excited to welcome the international diving community to our beautiful region and warmly invite local residents to come and witness these world-class performances. We feel truly privileged to host this event, and it serves as a tremendous inspiration for all of us.”
This event is made possible thanks to the generous support of our valued partners: the Government of Canada, the Government of Quebec, the City of Gatineau, Tourisme Outaouais, Speedo, the Gatineau Diving Club, Plongeon Québec and Royal Caribbean Entertainment.
Join us June 5–8 and experience world-class diving, live and up close in Gatineau!
