Call for Proposals: Gender Equity in Sport Research Hub
Sport Canada – INVITATION TO CANADIAN UNIVERSITIES
Sport Canada is accepting proposals from Canadian universities interested in leading Canada’s first Gender Equity in Sport Research Hub. On May 1, 2019, the Minister of Science and Sport, the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, announced funding for the creation of a Gender Equity in Sport Research Hub as part of the Government of Canada’s commitment to achieving gender equity in sport by 2035. The Research Hub is expected to provide credible thought leadership, and to generate an evidence base to support gender equity in sport through innovative, transparent and sustainable research activities, data curation, network-building and partnerships to contribute to pan-Canadian behaviour change.
Sport Canada will provide $1.65 million over three (3) years (2019-2020 to 2021-2022) to the successful applicant.
Applicants are required to send an e-mail to Joanne Kay, Senior Research and Policy Analyst, Insight Unit, Sport Canada (firstname.lastname@example.org) to obtain the application guidelines. The Submission deadline is October 14, 2019.
