Bryden Hattie places fourth at FINA diving Grand Prix

Diving Canada – BOLZANO, Italy – One costly mistake may have left Bryden Hattie of Victoria off the podium on Sunday as he placed fourth on men’s 10-m tower to conclude the fifth stop on the FINA Grand Prix diving circuit.

China was 1-2 with Song Yuan first with 387.30 points and Ling Yang second at 384.20. Riccardo Giovannini of Italy took the bronze with 367.40 followed by Hattie at 352.15.

‘’I managed to do all my dives really well except one,’’ said Hattie. ‘’My inward three and half gave me trouble and if I had done it as well as I usually can, I think I could have won a medal. It was a great learning experience.’’

Canada ends the competition with one silver medal earned by Peter Thach Mai of Montreal on men’s three-metre on Saturday.
