Bowls Canada Boulingrin Set to Bring International Bowls Back to Canada in 2025

Bowls Canada Boulingrin (BCB) is thrilled to announce that Canada will host the 2025 Atlantic International Challenge, an internationally recognized event by World Bowls. This marks a monumental return of global lawn bowling competition to Canadian soil—the first since 1994 featuring nations outside of North America!

Building on the success of its inaugural event in Scotland last year, the Atlantic International Challenge brings together top-tier talent from Canada, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and the USA. Designed to enhance high-performance competition, the event showcases the sport’s finest athletes in a vibrant atmosphere of camaraderie and excellence.

The event will feature dynamic matches across singles, pairs, triples, and fours disciplines in both men’s and women’s categories, held at the picturesque Windsor Lawn Bowling Club in Ontario. Over 40 elite athletes from the four nations’ high-performance teams will compete, pushing the boundaries of skill, precision, and strategy.

“This is an exciting time for Canadian bowls,” said Britany Gordon, CEO of Bowls Canada Boulingrin. “Hosting the Atlantic International Challenge highlights Canada’s growing prominence on the world stage. It’s not just about the competition—it’s about inspiring future generations of bowlers and laying the groundwork for hosting more international events across our country.”

BCB, along with its international collaborators—Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the USA—plus the Ontario Lawn Bowls Association (OLBA) and Windsor Lawn Bowling Club, is pulling out all the stops to deliver an unforgettable experience for players and spectators alike.

Key Dates and Details:

· Event Dates: September 20–24, 2025
