CALGARY—Canada’s bobsleigh athletes will slide into 2019 with new lids, thanks to a partnership established with Joe Rocket Canada and Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton.

Joe Rocket, a Canadian based company that specializes in producing quality and safe high-performance motorcycle gear over the last 25 years, has inked a four-year deal to supply the nation’s top bobsleigh athletes with helmets in addition to sponsoring the 2019 IBSF Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Championships in Whistler, February 25 – March 10.

“Canada’s sliding sport athletes understand the inherent risks associated with our sport, and the need to wear a helmet, train properly, and make smart choices in order to minimize those risks,” said Chris Le Bihan, high performance director, Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton. “Having a properly fitted, elite level helmet can significantly reduce an athlete’s risk of brain injuries. Joe Rocket Canada are proven performers in extreme sports and will be a critical member of our team on the track to 2022.”

Over the term of the sponsorship, Joe Rocket Canada will provide up to 80 helmets for Canada’s high-performance bobsleigh athletes.

” As a leader in performance motorcycle apparel, and an authentically Canadian brand, we’re proud to be partnered with the Canadian bobsleigh program in their pursuit of the international podium over the next four years,” said Max Charlebois, marketing director/brand manager, Joe Rocket Canada.

“Although our tracks and vehicles might differ, having the opportunity to support these world-class athletes is completely in-line with our championship history and core values as a brand.”
