Back to Competition Guidelines

The Back to Boccia Competition Guidelines are here

Over the past several months, CCPSA staff have worked closely with the Back to Boccia Task Force to draft guidelines supporting a return to boccia competition. We are pleased share the completed guidelines with you. The Back to Boccia Competition Guidelines are intended for use by provincial partners, clubs and the broader boccia community when planning to host or attend competitions. Please note that this is a living document, and it is just one component of a successful, safe return to competition. Athletes, performance partners, coaches, officials, volunteers, families and administrators will all have a role to play. We encourage you to read the guidelines carefully and reach out if you have questions. As with so many things over the past two years, we will be learning as we go. We look forward to working closely with competition hosts to ensure that the return to competition occurs as safely and smoothly as possible.

At the current time, we are in Phase 3 of our return, which permits individual competition only. We are continuing to work towards guidelines for Phase 4, when team and pairs competition will be permitted.

As with the previous Back to Boccia Training Guidelines, in the event of a discrepancy between these guidelines and provincial or local health guidelines, provincial and local health guidelines will take precedence.

We would like to thank all the members of the Back to Boccia Task Force who contributed their time to developing the guidelines. We could not have done it without you.
