Back the Pack: Celebrating WNT’s Success on Tour

WHAT’S NEW?

The Senior Women’s National Team is back in action! The team recently wrapped up their week-long training tour at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Centre where they swept the USA in a 5-game series. The touring roster featured a mix of veterans and newcomers looking to make their mark. Check out the Full Roster

We caught up with veteran Sara McManus, and newcomer Chloe Walton during the tour.

How does it feel to be back on tour after over a year and a half? And how do you think these matches against the USA will prepare the team for what’s next?
Its been great to be back on tour and on the field with the team. This tour is a good opportunity for us to spend time together and work through our tactics. Its great to get games in so we can figure out what we need to focus on moving forward towards the Pan-American Cup.

How is your first tour with the Canadian National Team going?
My first tour feels like a dream. Every time I step back and look at who Im training with I get star struck. Im having so much fun and adjusting more every day.

What are you most looking forward to in San Diego?
I cant wait to get my first cap. Playing for my country has been a goal of mine since I was a kid. Im making my 8 year old self proud.
