OTTAWA (January 10) – AthletesCAN is pleased to launch the application process of the 2020 IG Wealth Management Amateur Athletes Fund, a bursary program providing twenty bursaries of $5,000 to Canadian athlete leaders each year.

IG Wealth Management, in partnership with AthletesCAN, established the Amateur Athletes Fund for Canada’s top amateur athletes in 2000. Since the program’s inception in 2000, IG Wealth Management has provided Canadian athletes with $2,000,000.

In keeping with IG Wealth Management’s commitment to increasing the financial confidence of Canadians, these bursaries provide our country’s top athletes with some financial piece of mind so that they can focus on achieving excellence in their sport.

The bursary fund is open to any active senior national team athlete who meets the eligibility criteria.

Deadline for applications is March 15, 2020.
