Arsenault & McLean lead the 2020 Women’s Senior and Amateur Championships

Defending champion, Debbie Arsenault fired a 78 during the first round of the 2020 Women’s Senior Championship at Oakfield Golf and Country Club. Reigning Golf NB Amateur, Mid-Master and Senior Champion, Leanne Richardson, from Country Meadow Golf Club in Moncton, New Brunswick, is sitting one stroke behind the leader. With a score of 81, there is a three-way tie for third place between Joanie McCarville (Ashburn), Karla Wilms (River Hills) and Jeanie Boudreau (Hartlen Point).

Meghan McLean from Ken Wo Golf Club fired a 1-over par (73) during today’s first round of the 2020 NSGA Women’s Amateur Championship. The 21-year old from Port Williams, Nova Scotia, carded two birdies and three bogeys and has a three-shot lead over defending champion and Chester native, Allison Chandler (76). In third place, and one stroke behind Chandler, is Heather McLean, who finished at 5-over par (77).
