Canadian Blind Sports Association announces WNT athletes heading to 2023 IBSA World Games

Canadian Blind Sports Association is pleased to announce the following WNT Athletes travelling to Coventry, UK to take part in the 2023 IBSA World Games. The WNT is looking to build off of their 4th place finish at the 2022 World Championships.

Whitney Bogart – Ottawa, ON
Amy Burk – Ottawa, ON
Meghan Mahon – Calgary, AB
Emma Reinke – Ottawa, ON

As well, the following two athletes were named to the team but will not be able to travel due to injury.

Brieann Baldock – Edmonton, Alberta
Maryam Salehizadeh – Vancouver, BC

The Canadian team will take part in the 13 team Goalball tournament, with the winner securing a Paris 2024 Paralympic Qualification Slot. Canada’s group schedule is:
