The Position
As part of the central broadcast planning team for the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Canada, the Broadcast Operations & Services Manager reports organizationally to the Head of Technical Services (Canada) and functionally to the Broadcast Operations & Services Senior Manager in Miami. They will be responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation, and delivery of broadcast facilities and services at stadia in Canada for the FIFA World Cup 2026. At event time, they will assume the role of Broadcast Operations Manager at one of the Canadian stadiums to ensure the smooth delivery of broadcast operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain oversight of the planning & preparation of broadcast sites, including timeline development and risk management to ensure a successful delivery of broadcast facilities and services in Canada.
- Manage the compliance of broadcast areas at stadia in accordance with FIFA requirements, ensuring planning, delivery, and readiness timelines are met.
- Liaise closely with FWC26 functional areas, stadium personnel, and the Host Broadcaster on the preparation and development of broadcast facilities throughout the project.
- Work closely with the Host Broadcaster to ensure technical compliance of broadcast facilities and infrastructure, including reviewing and inputting into design & specifications in Canada.
- Support the coordination of broadcast activities during additional events such as potential test events, opening and closing ceremonies, and official announcements.
- Report on preparation, progress, and risk management, resolving issues and escalating urgent concerns in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the broadcast planning team to ensure consistent preparation across all sites.
- Contribute to post-event assessments, evaluating broadcast operations and identifying successes and areas for improvement.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration throughout the project.
- Work out of the local Toronto headquarters with occasional travel to Mexico and/or the U.S. as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of Technical Services (Canada).

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or similar level of higher education.
Work Experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience in event management, preparation, and planning, preferably in a broadcast environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing complex projects across preparation, planning, and delivery.
- Experience in preparation & planning of major sports events; experience with the FIFA World Cup or other FIFA events is an asset.
Languages
- Fluent in English.
- French proficiency is a plus.
Technology
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools.
