Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre Inc. has an opportunity available for a Human Resources Intern to join our team!
This internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution (college or university) and is a required component of their academic program. Students must be eligible to complete this internship through their school in order to be considered.
Reporting to Director, People, Culture and Success or their designate, the intern will gain practical, hands-on experience in human resources administration, employee engagement, compliance, and systems implementation. The intern will support various HR initiatives, including the rollout of new training programs and the transition to a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This internship offers valuable exposure to real-world HR operations within a multi-sport and community-focused environment. Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times is essential to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support onboarding processes including preparation of employee documentation and orientation coordination
- Maintain employee records and assist with updates in systems such as Dayforce
- Handle confidential offboarding documents and participate in exit processes
- Draft and format HR-related communications, reports, and process documentation
- Assist with employee engagement events and wellness programming
- Track training compliance and maintain HR records for audit readiness
- Conduct research to support HR initiatives, reporting, and policy updates
- Provide administrative support and contribute to a professional, responsive HR function
- Attend HR team meetings and collaborate on projects
- Support the planning, scheduling, and logistics for training sessions and professional development programs
- Assist with the implementation and launch of the new HRIS platform, including data entry, validation, and user support
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

- Assist in the planning and delivery of employee training programs and learning initiatives
- Gain experience supporting the implementation of a new HRIS platform and data migration processes
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled full-time in a post-secondary program (Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field)
- Legally authorized to participate in a work-integrated learning or internship program in Canada
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in document handling
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
Term & Honorarium:
Internship may be 2 or 4 months in duration, depending on your academic program requirements. Students will receive an honorarium of up to $1,500 upon successful completion of the internship
Placement Dates & Location:
This internship will take place at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, located at 875 Morningside Avenue, Scarborough, ON M1C 0C7
Internship term will be September 2025 to December 2025 depending on your academic program requirements
