The Girls Forward Foundation is calling on bold, passionate leaders to step forward and help shape the future for girls across Canada! As we prepare to launch a transformative two-year national fundraising campaign, we are seeking a Chair or Co-Chair to lead our Fundraising Committee. This strategic volunteer role offers the chance to lead with purpose, activate networks, and directly fuel programs that mentor, inspire, and empower girls from coast to coast.

CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW: MOVING GIRLS FORWARD
The Moving Girls Forward campaign aims to raise $2 million over two years to scale the Foundation’s national impact. This includes expanding mentorship programs, creating inclusive sport and leadership opportunities, and driving advocacy initiatives rooted in research.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Chair or Co-Chair of the Fundraising Committee provides volunteer leadership to help drive the success of the Moving Girls Forward campaign. In partnership with Foundation staff and committee members, the Chair/Co-Chair will play a key role in mobilizing resources, activating networks, and guiding strategic fundraising efforts. They serve as both a campaign ambassador and a collaborative leader.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership & Engagement
- Chair quarterly committee meetings and ensure agendas and action items are effectively executed
- Foster an inclusive and motivating environment where all committee members are engaged and contributing
- Partner with Foundation staff to set committee priorities, track progress, and identify opportunities for growth
- Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Collaborate on the design and execution of fundraising strategies and donor engagement plans
- Support the development and refinement of campaign messaging and materials
- Serve as a public-facing leader and spokesperson for the campaign when appropriate
- Fundraising & Stewardship
- Personally contribute to the campaign at a meaningful level
- Leverage personal and professional networks to identify, cultivate, and solicit major donors or partners
- Participate in donor meetings, events, and stewardship activities
- Ensure the committee remains focused on campaign milestones and donor impact
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in fundraising, philanthropy, or campaign management
- Strong commitment to the mission and values of the Girls Forward Foundation
- A track record of mobilizing resources and influencing others in support of a cause
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to dedicate time for quarterly meetings, donor engagement, and campaign leadership
TIME COMMITMENTS
- Quarterly committee meetings (virtual or in-person)
- Participation in campaign events or activations
- Ongoing engagement in donor cultivation and stewardship (estimated 3–5 hours/month)
