Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre Inc. has an opportunity available for a Digital Platforms and Solutions Intern to join our team!
This internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution (college or university) and is a required component of their academic program. Students must be eligible to complete this internship through their school in order to be considered.
Working in the department of Marketing & Communications, the Student intern will provide support in managing, integrating, and optimizing various digital platforms utilized by the organization. Through this placement, the intern will gain real-world experience with system integration and website management in a sport and recreation environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in updating and optimizing the website and mobile app content in collaboration with our web development partners
- Monitor and test digital platform performance and suggest enhancements.
- Support the integration and usage of CRM tools like HubSpot and SurveyMonkey
- Help implement workflows and digital solutions that improve user experience and data collection
- Research and share insights on emerging digital trends and tools, including AI-assisted solutions.
- Collaborate with content and design teams to ensure smooth integration between systems and messaging
- Offer recommendations and implement solutions to ensure the organization adheres to best practices in data collection and accessibility
- Perform related digital platform support duties as required
Opportunities for Learning and Development:
- Develop skills in managing and updating TPASC’s digital platforms, including the company website, mobile app, Customer Relation Management System (CRM), and feedback tools such as SurveyMonkey
- Learn to analyze digital engagement data to enhance user experience and optimize communication strategies
- Participate in user testing and feedback sessions to gain insights into digital user behaviour and preferences
- Build awareness of digital accessibility standards and understand how they apply to content creation and user access
- Understand the importance of inclusive design and how to ensure digital platforms meet legal and accessibility compliance requirements
- Gain exposure to data privacy best practices, including ethical collection, storage, and management of user information in alignment with the organization’s privacy policy
- Explore the use of AI tools to enhance digital engagement and streamline workflows
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in full-time studies in a post-secondary program (business, marketing, digital media, information systems, or related field)
- Legally authorized to participate in a work placement in Canada
- Knowledgeable about digital platforms and systems such as websites, CRMs, and mobile apps integrate and communicate
- Eager to expand understanding of digital tools, analytics, and strategies for optimizing user experience
- Comfortable navigating with basic CRMs platforms and/or digital dashboard tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Demonstrates curiosity and initiative in exploring digital solutions to enhance communication and engagement
- Proactive, dependable, and adaptable, with a strong desire to learn in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Term & Honorarium:
Internship may be 2 or 4 months in duration, depending on your academic program requirements. Students will receive an honorarium of up to $1,500 upon successful completion of the internship
Placement Dates & Location:
This internship will take place at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, located at 875 Morningside Avenue, Scarborough, ON M1C 0C7
Internship term will be September 2025 to December 2025 depending on your academic program requirements.
