Webinar Alert: Holding the Hot Potato – Understanding New SDRCC Service Updates for Appeals

October 2, 2025 12:00 PM EDT
|

The Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada (SDRCC) introduced important changes to the Service Conditions on accessing its Dispute Resolution Secretariat on July 30, 2025, specifically what services will remain free of charge and what is now offered exclusively on a fee-for-service basis.

These changes have important practical implications for National Sport Organizations (NSOs), athletes and coaches, particularly in the management of appeals and associated costs.

This session is hosted by Sport Law team members Will Russell and Michelle Kropp and will provide an overview of the new conditions, highlight key considerations for NSOs when navigating different types of appeals, and explore strategies to appropriately update appeal policies.
