As part of the lead-up to hosting the Canadian University Men’s Rugby Championships in November, the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees Men’s Rugby team will be hosting a two-part series of free introductory rugby sessions for Ottawa youth. These sessions aim to teach the rules of rugby to new players and give participants an opportunity to practice fundamental skills during fun drills and games! The sessions are open to students aged 12-to-16 and all genders are welcome!
What to expect
- Skills: passing, catching, positioning and more! Please note that there will be no contact during these sessions.
- Format: two-hour sessions that review and build on key skills learned in the previous session. Our coaches are well-prepared to accommodate students of all skill levels and athletic abilities.
When:
- Sunday, September 29, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Sunday, October 13, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Transportation:
We will be providing a free bus service for participants, who can select their nearest pick-up and drop-off locations when they register. Spots will be limited and based on availability.
