Wednesday, October, 30 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. PDT

Sport for Life invites participants to explore the importance of allyship in the journey of Truth and Reconciliation, led by Greg Henhawk, a respected Indigenous educator and leader. This session will highlight how allyship can support reconciliation efforts. In alignment with the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, observed on September 30, this session aims to deepen our understanding of allyship’s historical and contemporary implications in Indigenous communities.

In this webinar, participants will:

  • Discover how to be a good ally and how to engage respectfully with Indigenous communities.
  • Understand the significance of Truth and Reconciliation from multiple perspectives and its implications in sports, recreation, and everyday life.
  • Explore opportunities for collaboration with organizations dedicated to promoting Indigenous culture and inclusivity.
  • Participate in an open dialogue, where questions are welcomed in a supportive environment.

Whether you are a coach, educator, student, or simply interested in becoming a better ally, this webinar will equip you with the insights and tools necessary to contribute positively to the reconciliation process. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from Greg’s expertise and experience.
