September 30, 2025 1:00 PM EDT
|

Now in its third offering, the BE Leadership Essentials is a 10-week virtual course for sport leaders who want to lead with greater confidence, clarity, and impact. You’ll gain practical tools, fresh insights, and strengthen your sense of purpose—all while building meaningful connections with peers across the Canadian sport system.

The Fall 2025 cohort will run from October to December and includes:

  • Seven live group sessions on essential leadership topics with real-world application
  • Four personalized coaching sessions tailored to your specific growth goals
  • A Personal Leadership User Manual you’ll develop throughout the course to guide your leadership journey
  • A national peer network to support you well beyond the program

“The opportunity to explore the kind of leader I want to be—and put it into practice—has had a ripple effect on how I lead every day. It’s not just theory. It’s applicable, personal, and rooted in self-awareness.”  Becky Cheverton – Manager, Events and Programs, Swimming Canada

“What stood out most was the balance of depth and action. We weren’t just talking about leadership—we were practicing it, getting feedback, and learning from each other. The group’s vulnerability, compassion, and insight made this a truly impactful part of my leadership journey.” Jessica Ferguson – Manager, Paralympic System & Services, Canadian Paralympic Committee

“I’ve seen firsthand how the BE Leadership Essentials can make a difference. Two members of my team completed the program, and the growth in their leadership is visible every day. The impact has been real and meaningful.” Jocelyn Jay – Associate Director, Sport Development, Swimming Canada

The group sessions will cover a variety of topics including:

  • Leading with Vulnerability
  • Building Trusted Connections
  • Fostering Psychological Safety
  • Boosting your Emotional Intelligence
  • Embracing Awkward Conversations
  • Coaching for Impact
  • And much more
