2021 NSGA #Golfbeattiestrong Men’s Senior Championship

While the fog was thick to start the day, round one of the 2021 #Golfbeatiestrong Men’s Senior Championship is now in the books. Course Superintendent Sue Crawford, and team, has the golf course in excellent condition and players are enjoying their experience at the host Brightwood Golf & Country Club

The fog burned off and made way to a warm summer day. Jeff Hovell, of Ashburn Golf Club, leads the Championship with an opening round of two under par 66. Steve Ward, of KenWo Country Club, sits in second place with an even-par round of 68. Sitting in the third spot is Nelson Thompson, of Truro Golf Club, with an opening 69 and Dean Woodman, of Avon Valley Golf & Country Club rounds out the top four with a plus-three 71.

The weather forecast looks great and the competition is strong. This 3-day event resumes tomorrow at 7am.
