Canadian cities are becoming more ethnically diverse, creating new challenges and opportunities for the Canadian sport system. Results from the TOPO Survey of grade 6 students and their parents in Montreal reveal 23% of students were born outside the country; of which 41% have been living in Canada five years or less; and 59% have one or both parents born outside of Canada.
