Periodization Essentials Webinar

July 14, 2020 12:00 AM EDT
|

You have likely come across the terms training blocks, tapers, and acute to chronic workload ratios at one point or another, but perhaps you are unsure of their exact meaning and how to apply them in practice. In this webinar, Adam Decker, PhD CSCS CEP, will review the principles and models of periodization, as well as important information about recovery and athlete monitoring strategies. You’ll learn what periodization looks like throughout the stages of long-term development, with specific focus on the train-to-train stage, when managing your athletes’ growth spurt is a critical consideration. Through a combination of theory, practical application, and details of his personal experiences working with Olympic and professional athletes and performing artists from Cirque du Soleil, Adam will guide you on how to use these principles and strategies in your daily practice to take your training and coaching to the next level. Adam is also a Sport for Life Long-Term Development Advisor.
