2020 Elizabeth Manley Winter Classic

In its third year, the Elizabeth Manley Winter Classic, hosted by the Gloucester Skating Club, is part of the Skate Ontario Super Series and is one of the final qualifying events before the Provincial Championships.

It will bring over 600 skaters from all over Ontario, as well as coaches, officials and many volunteers, to our area.  This year’s event will be held at the Bob MacQuarrie Recreation Complex in Orleans from February 21 – 23,  2020.

This year, Liz Manley will once again join us – she’ll be with us on Saturday, February 22 from 10am-3pm doing medal presentations, meet and greet with skaters and parents, announcing an event or two and maybe even doing an Instagram Live!

She will be available to talk to members of the media about her life in skating, what it’s like coming home, and the Gloucester Skating Club (which turns 50 in the year 2021).

Please  let me know if you’re interested in coming out to see these amazing young competitors and the home-grown Olympian who silently cheers them on every day.
