CAAWS Women & Leadership Workshop Series – Leading with Confidence

February 18, 2020 8:00 AM EST
|

CAAWS’s Women and Leadership Program consists of a series of six professional development sessions that blend theory with practical applications, and provide an opportunity for women working or volunteering in the sport or physical activity sector to share experiences, reflect on ideas and apply specific techniques. These workshops are highly relevant for today’s young professionals and experienced leaders. The sessions also allow for networking opportunities among participants.

More Info on the CAAWS Program here: https://www.caaws.ca/leadership/women-and-leadership-program/

PacificSport Fraser Valley will host 3 of the 6 CAAWS Women & Leadership workshops over the next three months. We hope to bring together as many women (16+) as possible from all corners of the sport and physical activity sectors (and beyond) and thus we invite coaches, administrators, athletes, officials, and any woman interested to join us for professional development, idea-sharing, and networking over the course of 3 informative and inspiring nights.

FIRST UP! Leading with Confidence

During this interactive workshop, participants will explore the experiences of female leaders, reflect on the value of sport and physical activity in their leadership journey, and consider how they can further develop their skills to be strong leaders now and in the future.

• Examine the equity gap in Canada’s sport leadership

• Focus on confidence as an essential leadership skill

• Discuss how to communicate with confidence
