Introducing the BC Rugby app for Android and iPhone

Featuring standings, fixtures, results,
venue information and more!

Vancouver, BC – January 23, 2020: BC Rugby is delighted to announce the launch of a new app for the rugby community.  The BC Rugby app gives fans, players, coaches and clubs access to scores, schedules and match information at their fingertips.  It is available on both Apple iOS and Android operating systems, covering 98% of all mobile users.

With more and more people relying on their phones as the primary source of information, the BC Rugby app will give users direct access to information for a range of rugby fixtures, from weekly club leagues for senior men and women to stand alone age-grade tournaments.  The app has been designed and built by SportLomo, the same system that delivers the fixtures, results and table to the BC Rugby website.

One of the highlights of the app is the ability to identify any club, league or competition as a “favourite”, creating a short cut to the information a user wants to see the most.  This allows users to cut through the hundreds of fixtures that can take place on any given month and get right to the details that matter most to them.

“The BC Rugby app is something we’ve been wanting to deliver to our community for a while,” commented Annabel Kehoe, CEO of BC Rugby.  “With over 50% of our web traffic coming from mobile phones, we could see there was demand for quick and customisable access to schedules, results and standings from cell phones.  This app is a great starting point for that expansion of information delivery and we’re excited to see how our community adopts it and how the app evolves over time.”

The BC Rugby app can be downloaded now from Apple’s App Store or the Google Play Store.  To help users get up to speed with the app, the is a helpful guide available at bcrugby.com/app.
