Press conference and autograph session with Canadian national team ahead of ISU World Cup Short Track to be held in Calgary
Speed Skating Canada – The event will be open to the public and will take place on Wednesday, November 2, from 12 pm to 1:30 pm at The CORE Shopping Centre
Calgary, October 26, 2016 – Members of the Canadian national short track speed skating team are inviting media representatives and the general public to attend a press conference and take part in an autograph session set to take place on Wednesday, November 2, from 12 to 1:30 pm, on the second level of the CORE Shopping Centre (324 8 Ave SW) in Calgary. The event will be located at the east end of the CORE, directly outside of The Body Shop and Kernel’s Popcorn in the common area.
This public event will be held a few days ahead of the ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating set to take place from November 4-6 at the Olympic Oval in Calgary.
Skaters on the Canadian team, including Olympic medalists Charles Hamelin, Marianne St-Gelais, Valérie Maltais, François Hamelin, Marie-Ève Drolet and Charle Cournoyer, will be introduced to the crowd in attendance and will then meet with their fans during an autograph session. Fans will also be able to buy tickets.

The 2016 ISU World Cup in Short Track Speed Skating, to be held Nov. 4-6 at Calgary’s Olympic Oval, will feature the top short track speed skaters in the world at the first stage of a season that will include six World Cup weekends.
