BC Rugby – Vancouver, BC – February 6, 2017: BC Rugby would like to announce some exciting changes that have been made to the Men’s and Women’s Open Division for the upcoming 2017 Vancouver Rugby Festival. The format of the Open Division competitions has been revised and will now run as a single-day tournament. Because of this change, the original CAD$500 entry fee is now reduced to only CAD$300.

In addition to the $5000 prize money for the winning Men’s and Women’s teams in the Elite Division competitions, BC Rugby will be awarding $1000 to each of the winning Men’s and Women’s teams in the Open Division. These changes have been made to drive more high-level competition into the Open Division.

With the registration deadline extended to February 17th, it’s important for teams interested in entering the Open division to secure their spots soon!
