Position / Division: Assistant Coordinator (Internship) | Talent / Business Development
As part of SBX’s commitment to developing future industry leaders, our internship program gives students the chance to learn alongside executives shaping the next generation of sports, entertainment, and lifestyle experiences.
This internship opportunity provides hands-on experience in talent representation, business development, and sports/entertainment marketing. The selected candidate will gain exposure to talent representation strategy, brand building, and partner engagement while contributing to high-impact campaigns.
The intern will develop a deeper understanding of the sports and entertainment business landscape, and learn the fundamentals of client management and partnership execution.
Eligibility: Must be required to complete this internship for course credit
Term: January 2026 | Four (4) months | Full-Time Position

Location:
Our virtual internship program is built for global connection across multiple time zones, using digital tools and regular mentorship and team check-ins.
- Internship is out of Toronto office
- However, will be done virtually
- Company computer and phone will be provided for internship
- Collaborate cross-functionally across all of our offices (Toronto, Miami, Las Vegas, Saskatchewan)
Compensation: The internship is designed as a learning experience with a $1,000 honorarium to support expenses over the four-month term.

The Job Details and Key Accountabilities
Supporting the operation of SBX’s Talent and Business Development Division in the representation of top sport and entertainment talent:
- Support the operation, marketing, design and fulfillment of SBX’s various talent’s product and business lines (e.g. merchandise, apparel, beverages, literary, content platforms, etc.)
- Being a resource in developing and maintaining each client’s brand strategy and activation plans in market
- Ensure all marketing materials for our clients are consistently up to date including websites, sales documents, media kits, etc.
- Participate in internal and external calls – take notes, build action items, and execute
- Support the SBX team in recruiting new talent/clients
- Assist the SBX team in delivering and executing on client partnership components
- Coordinating appearances, partner deliverables execution, social media posts, and creating briefs for clients
- Researching and identifying opportunities in market for SBX’s talent; ie. providing background information on companies and sponsorship summary reports
- Developing prospect lists and analysis of opportunities in the market for potential partnership opportunities
- Research, think about and share ideas
- Remain up-to-date on current domestic and international sports and entertainment markets
- Build proposals/sales decks/information documents that effectively communicate ideas to potential partners
- Attend sales and strategy meetings

- Build skills in presentation design and proposal writing
- Develop social and digital media knowledge in order to implement talent and brand campaigns
Skills & Expertise:
Preferred: Experience with Canva, Google Slides, or design software; familiarity with CRM or influencer platforms; passion for sports and entertainment industries. Strong teamwork skills, creative thinking and initiative. Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
