Curling Ontario is excited to announce Farm & Food Care Ontario (FFCO) as the official title sponsor of its largest event in January 2026 — the Farm & Food Care Men’s and Women’s Curling Ontario Provincial Championships. The highly anticipated championship will be hosted in Elmira, Ontario, from January 4-11, 2026, with the Elmira & District Curling Club serving as the dedicated host organization.
This sponsorship highlights a true collaborative effort, with strong support from the Elmira host committee and numerous community partners committed to making this event a celebration of sport, agriculture, and community spirit.
FFCO is a registered Canadian charity and a coalition dedicated to growing public trust and consumer confidence in farming and food. Their mission involves bringing farmers, agricultural professionals, related businesses, and government partners together to promote understanding, transparency, and interest in Ontario’s vibrant agricultural sector.
The Elmira & District Curling Club, working alongside Curling Ontario and FFCO, will come together to create an event that celebrates top curling talent, Ontario’s rich agricultural heritage, and community engagement. This partnership exemplifies a shared commitment to fostering meaningful connections between Ontario’s farming community, local residents, and sports fans.
As part of the sponsorship, FFCO will contribute through financial support, in-kind event enhancements, community engagement activities, and promotional collaborations. These efforts include local food initiatives, educational programming, giveaways, and interactive opportunities for the community during the championship week.
“We’re excited to welcome Farm & Food Care Ontario as our title sponsor for this premier event,” said Matt Allen, Executive Director of Curling Ontario. “Their support will help us elevate the experience for athletes, fans, and the broader community, creating a memorable week in Elmira.”
Bill Barr, Host Chair of the Elmira event, added, “This is a true partnership with the Elmira community at its core. We’re thrilled to be part of an event that showcases both top-level curling and the vital agricultural sector of Ontario.”
Janelle Cardiff, Farm & Food Care Ontario Board Chair, also shared, “We’re proud to partner with Curling Ontario and the host Elmira & District Curling Club in supporting this exciting championship. It’s a fantastic opportunity to share Ontario’s farm story and foster community engagement.”
The 2026 Provincial Championships in Elmira promise to be the premier curling event of the season, bringing together top athletes, families, and industry supporters for an exciting week of competition and community celebration.
