CANMNT squad announced for 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup

Squad of 26 revealed as CANMNT chases first trophy since 2000

Canada Soccer has announced the selection of 26 players who will represent Canada in the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup. 

Canada is currently in camp preparing for the inaugural Canadian Shield, where they will face off against Ukraine on 7 June and Côte D’Ivoire on 10 June at BMO Field in Toronto.

“We’re excited to be bringing a very strong squad to the upcoming Gold Cup. We’re very confident in the group and are looking forward to challenging for the title,” ​ shared Jesse Marsch, MLS Canada Head Coach of the Men’s National Team

Canada has been drawn into Group B for the Gold Cup, where they will face Honduras, El Salvador, and Curaçao in the Group Stage of the region’s premier international tournament. Canada’s competition will begin on 17 June as they take on Honduras at Vancouver’s BC Place before traveling to Houston for matches against Curaçao on 21 June and El Salvador on 24 June. The Group B winner and runner-up will advance to the knockout stage. 

Broadcast Information 

The Concacaf Nations League Finals matches will air live on OneSoccer, available on the fuboTV Canada platform, as a linear channel on Telus’s Optik TV (Channel 980), as well as online at OneSoccer.ca and through the OneSoccer app. Fans will find extended coverage across Canada Soccer’s digital channels on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Bluesky, and YouTube featuring the hashtag #CANMNT. ​

Canada’s three goalkeepers this window will be Maxime Crépeau from Portland Timbers, Tom McGill from Brighton & Hove Albion and Dayne St. Clair from Minnesota United FC. 

Defenders selected are: ​ Sam Adekugbe from Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Derek Cornelius from Olympique de Marseille, Luc De Fougerollesfrom Fulham FC, Jamie Knight-Lebel from Bristol City FC, Richie Laryea from Toronto FC, Alistair Johnston from Celtic FC, Kamal Miller from Portland Timbers, Niko Sigur from Hadjuk Split, and Joel Waterman from CF Montréal. 

Midfielders joining the group are: Ali Ahmed from Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Tajon Buchanan from Villarreal CF (on loan from Inter Milan), Mathieu Choinière from Grasshopper Zurich, Stephen Eustáquio from FC Porto,Ismaël Koné from Stade Rennais (on loan from Olympique de Marseille), Jayden Nelson from Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Jonathan Osorio fromToronto FC, Nathan Saliba from CF Montréal, Jacob Shaffelburg from Nashville SC. 

The rest of the squad will feature forwards: Jonathan David from LOSC Lille,Promise David from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, Daniel Jebbison from AFC Bournemouth, Cyle Larin from RCD Mallorca and Tani Oluwaseyi from Minnesota United FC.
