Title: Therapist – NSMXV Contract Lead
Type of Position: Full time Contract July 1- Sept 30 2025

Reporting to: Primary – Current NSMXV Lead therapist, CMO
Salary Range: $5500/ month
Travel: Position involves travel within and outside of Canada for weeks at a time.

Responsibilities:
- Communication with current NSMXV Lead therapist throughout contract.
- Review all incoming and outgoing athletes, complete intake and exit forms for each new team assembly/ disassembly.
- Monitoring the physical health, rehabilitation and prevention of injuries for the players while assembled
- Provide field coverage, taping and treatment.
- Work with other therapists, doctors, S&C, sport science and coaching staff to ensure effective management for athletes.
- Daily communication with Head Coach and S&C regarding health and status of athletes.
- Maintain comprehensive player treatment charting and injury records.
- Insurance coordination, initiation with the assistance of team manager when incidents arise
- Provide treatment plans to assist with recovery after team disassembles.
- May be required to provide remote monitoring during time team is not assembled
- Domestic and international travel will be required throughout term of contract.
- Must be available for all travel windows from July 1- Sept 30.
Requirements:
- First Responder, BLS or Equivalent
- Certified Athletic Therapist in good standing with CATA OR Licensed Physiotherapist in good standing with your Provincial College, minimum Sport Certificate, preference to those with Sport Diploma.
- Experience working with high-performance athletes
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and personal integrity
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with the sport of Rugby or contact sports
- World Rugby ICIR Level 2 Certification
- CSCS or equivalent strength and conditioning Certification
- Knowledge of data management and good data organizational skills
- Experience with GPS and force plate data capture and understanding its role Return to Play
- Ability to provide Acupuncture treatment

Working Conditions
Hourly expectations will vary weekly depending on training and tour demands. This will not be a traditional 40hr/wk position.
