Winnipeg Wraps up 14U Volleyball National Championships with Gold Medal Matches at 4:50 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB – The 14U Volleyball Canada National Championships conclude today at the RBC Convention Centre, capping off three thrilling days of high-level youth competition. Since May 9, Winnipeg has proudly hosted 144 teams from across the country in a celebration of sport, unity, and youth achievement.

This afternoon, the event culminates in gold medal matches beginning at 4:50 p.m., offering a final showcase of the talent, dedication, and sportsmanship that have defined this weekend’s tournament.

As part of the larger Volleyball Canada Youth National Championships series, the 14U event in Winnipeg complements regional tournaments held earlier this month in Ottawa and Fredericton. These satellite championships offer more young athletes the chance to compete at a national level closer to home, reinforcing Volleyball Canada’s commitment to accessibility, development, and participation across the country.

“Winnipeg is honoured to have welcomed so many passionate young athletes from across the country,” says Coralee Dolyniuk, Executive Director of Volleyball Manitoba. “Hosting the 14U National Championships here reflects Manitoba’s leadership in amateur sport and the incredible momentum volleyball has across our province. There’s nothing quite like watching almost 2,000 youth come together, sharing their love for the game and creating memories that will last a lifetime.”

The remarkable scale of this year’s 14U Championships speaks to the growing popularity of volleyball nationwide, particularly at the developmental level. It also underscores the dedication of local organizers, volunteers, and partners who have delivered a world-class experience for athletes and spectators alike.

Volleyball Canada and Volleyball Manitoba extend their sincere thanks to the hundreds of volunteers, Sport Manitoba, the City of Winnipeg, the Province of Manitoba, and the many sponsors who made this national event possible.
