The Grande Prairie Regional Sport Connection (GPRSC) is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a strong and connected sport community in the Grande Prairie Region. Their mission is to support the growth and enhancement of sport by promoting collaboration, providing resources, recognizing contributions, and facilitating education and training opportunities.
The Executive Director is responsible for providing leadership and management of the Society, ensuring resources are directed towards the goals and policies established by the GPRSC Board. The Executive Director reports to the Chair of the Board.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic leadership and update the strategic plan in consultation with the Board.
- Oversee daily operations and manage administration, finance, human resources, public relations, and volunteer development.
- Develop and manage the budget.
- Plan special events and projects.
- Engage with the sport community, maintain member databases, promote events, and develop partnerships.
- Create and manage funding strategies, including grant writing.
- Recruit, hire, and supervise staff.

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
