Calgary Media Team Up with PGA of Alberta Golf Pros to Tee Off 2025 Golf Show Grip It, Rip It and Chip It Competition Set for March 21 at 12 noon, BMO Centre

CALGARY—PGA of Canada golf professionals will team up with Calgary media, March 21 at 12 noon for the second annual Grip It, Rip It and Chip It Golf Competition, presented by Cobra Puma Golf to officially tee off Alberta’s only golf and travel show in 2025.

Held on the Indoor Driving Range at the BMO Centre (Hall D) that is created for the PGA of Alberta Golf Show, each of the 12 teams will consist of one PGA of Canada professional and one media personality. Teams will meet head-to-head, and the team with the highest combined yardage move on to the next round until a winner is declared. Media will then head to a unique chipping challenge and have the opportunity to test their short game at the Rogers Charity Classic exhibit by chipping into a washing machine.

The event will launch the 2025 PGA of Alberta Golf Show where PGA of Canada golf professionals, retailers and industry leaders throughout the province will unite in Calgary’s BMO Centre (Hall D), March 22-23. More than 4,000 passionate golf enthusiasts from all facets of the game will connect at the 2025 edition of the annual golf celebration to discover the newest innovations, test the latest equipment and technology, and capitalize on exclusive deals on golf getaways.

PGA of Alberta Golf Show general admission tickets: Adults $15; Seniors (65+) $12; Juniors (13-17) $12, Kids (12 and Under) Free online or at the door. New this year, a Family Pass (2 Adults + 2 Juniors) is available exclusively online for $45.

Each ticket will provide access to the GolfIn Simulator Driving Range, Clearance Centre, exclusive show specials from 40 exhibitors, and a wide range of activities for all golf enthusiasts regardless of age or ability. Doors open March 22 at 9 a.m. and on March 23 at 10 a.m. The first 50 paid people through the door each day will receive a FREE Canada Golf Card (card valued at $70+).

The new Ladies’ Lounge is an exclusive, vibrant space dedicated to celebrating and connecting women through the exciting world of golf. Designed to foster community, offer unique experiences, and encourage participation in the game, this newly created lounge is sure to be a highlight at the SHOW. The first 100 women to visit the Ladies’ Lounge each day and receive an exclusive welcome gift! The first 10 guests will be treated to an extra-loaded tote bag packed with premium goodies, while the next 90 will receive a beautifully curated loaded gift bag. Engage with female PGA of Canada golf professionals who are excited to connect and share advice on getting into golf.  Test your swing, experience simulated courses, and enjoy interactive gameplay with exclusive access to the golf simulator in the Ladies’ Lounge. Prizes and refreshments will be provided by Gradient Beverages. Sponsored by The Wedding Fair, Sports Girlie Apparel, Gradient Beverages, and Birdie Box Golf.

Manufacturers will be on-hand at the Indoor Driving Range loaded featuring a lineup of new simulators and a selection of product for attendees to test throughout the weekend. Alberta’s top golf instructors will be there to provide tips and fine-tune your game with FREE lessons. More than $30,000 in great prizes including green fees, equipment or golf destination packages will be available for guests of the SHOW who participate in one of several contests that will be held including: Long Drive Competition sponsored by PXG; Closest to the Pin Competition sponsored by Par2Pro; and the Putting Challenge sponsored by Mirage Turf Systems and PXG. Proceeds from contest ticket sales will support Kids Cancer Care. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in the new Chipping Challenge, presented by the Rogers Charity Classic.

After taking a few rips, or ramping up your short game, guests can head over to the Clearance Centre that will be loaded with endless deals on clubs, clothing, and accessories.

This year’s SHOW will also put a greater focus on engaging junior golfers in the game with a full slate of activities including a 9-hole mini putt course. Every junior at the SHOW will receive a club to help them swing into their 2025 golf season and learn about golf’s development pathway from certified professionals. Junior-specific clinics (30 minutes) will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 2 p.m. as well as on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Additionally, there will be complimentary face painting and balloon art by Terrrrrific Face Painting from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday.
