Team Manitoba – Daily Media Outlook

Day Three Recap

Softball spent the day playing two games, they won the first against Saskatchewan with a final score of 3-2 and then won in their final game of the day against Alberta 10-4.

Our swimmers had an exciting day on top of the podium taking home 12 medals: three gold, four silver, and five bronze.

Canoe/kayak continued to dominate, collecting nine medals for the day: two gold, five silver and two bronze.

Our cyclists had a big day as well, with an over two hour long road race, where Team Toba managed to secure the Gold in the All Men’s.

Beach Volleyball barely let anything hit the sand as the female teams won two out of their four matches of the day and the male teams won three out of four of their matches.

Finally, the male and female basketball teams played their hearts out, with Saskatchewan winning 65-47 over the female team and the boys coming up short with a 62-59 loss. The crowds at the basketball games were a sea of gold, packed with Manitoba fans including parents, mission staff and athletes. The male Yukon basketball team also came out to cheer on the male basketball team, encompassing the Games theme of “The Spirit of Play”.
