Valour FC forward wins National Futsal award
Loïc Kwemi has been named Canada Soccer’s 2024 Futsal Player of the Year as selected by the National Team Program.
At the 2024 Concacaf Futsal Championship, he finished as joint-second top goalscorer at the tournament with six goals, leading Canada to a quarterfinal appearance.
At club level, Kwemi scored in CS Saint-Laurent’s historic TELUS Canadian Championship win over HFX Wanderers FC. He then went on to make his Canadian Premier League debut in 2024 with Valour FC.
Canada Soccer will announce their 2024 Canada Soccer Player Awards winners this week. Voting for the 2024 Players of the Year is underway. Canada Soccer coaching staffs from their respective programs will determine Canada Soccer’s Young, Futsal and Para Players of the Year. Finally, the winner of the 2024 Allstate Good Hands® Award as voted on by fans, will be announced later today.
