Archery Canada Announces National Para Teams

Ottawa, ON – Archery Canada is thrilled to announce the selection of the athletes to our 2025 Paralympic High Performance and Paralympic Development Teams. The nominated athletes will represent Canada at various events on the international and domestic stage in 2025!
The athletes nominated to the 2025 Paralympic High Performance team are:

Compound Open:

  • Kyle Tremblay, Deep River, Ontario
  • Chris Waterman, Selkirk, Manitoba
  • Daniel Comeau, Shannon, Quebec

Athletes on the 2025 High Performance team will represent Canada at the following events in 2025:

  • The Americas Para Cup – Leg 1 – Morelia, Mexico – July 16-20 2025
  • The Americas Para Cup – Leg 2 – Chicago, USA August 27-31 2025
  • Gwangju 2025 World Archery Para Championships, Gwangju, Korea, Sept 22-28 2025

The athletes nominated to the 2025 Paralympic Development team are:

Recurve Open

  • Jean-François Lavergne, Saint-Raymond, Québec
  • Carolyn Lindner, Winnipeg, MB
  • Shawn Matheson, Carp, ON

Athletes on the 2025 Development Team will represent Canada internationally at one or both stages of the America’s Para Cup in 2025, as well as compete at National events, like the Canada Cup and Nationals, and in a USAT Series. Development team athletes may be selected for the Para World Championships based on their development over the season. 

These athletes will be supported by our newly appointed Paralympic Head Coach, Linda Price and support staff. In 2025 Archery Canada is hopeful to introduce new high-performance resources and IST services to help all athletes reach new heights on the competitive stage. Initial phase of support staffing is currently underway and will be selected for each event of the season.
