Team Canada to Host Tokyo 2020 Media Day

Canadian Olympic Committee – TORONTO (September 18, 2019) — Team Canada will be hosting a Tokyo 2020 Media Day on December 12, 2019 for non-rights holding media where some of Canada’s top Olympic hopefuls will be available for content capture opportunities. The event will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Media wishing to attend are asked to submit one expression of interest per organization to Josh Su (jsu@olympic.ca) by Monday, September 30. 

More details including a list of confirmed athletes will be provided to those invited.

Fifty-six years after hosting the Olympic Games for the first time, the city of Tokyo will welcome the world again from July 24 to August 9, 2020. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Program will feature 33 sports with 339 medal events. More than 11,000 athletes and officials from 206 countries are expected to attend the Games.
