Josh Vander Vies
Josh Vander Vies is a retired Canadian Paralympic boccia player and bronze medalist at the 2012 Paralympic Games. Beyond his athletic career, he is a lawyer focused on charity and not-for-profit law and now works as the Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at YVR Airport. Josh is a disabled leader, promoting inclusion, accessibility, and disability rights.
Mike Waters
Mike Waters has been dedicated to building community for over 25 years. He has led and supported numerous initiatives to develop and improve programs, services, facilities, and infrastructure for municipal and regional governments as well as not-for-profit agencies in Canada and the UK.
Throughout his career, Mike has held senior leadership roles focused on community development, social planning, adapted recreation, parks, and universal access. Recently, he has led engagement-focused initiatives to improve systems supporting youth, families, community safety, and healthcare.
In 2007, Mike co-founded Kimmik Consulting, a Victoria-based group that provides group facilitation support, strategic engagement, and training. Kimmik continues to actively support a range of organizations with planning and facilitation needs across Western Canada.
