We’re looking for self-identifying young women ages 17-20 with a passion for empowering girls through sport, physical activity, and/or education.
The goal of the Youth Advisory Council is to develop girls’ leadership skills to take into their future, and to ensure we stay true to our mission that all our initiatives are guided For the Girls By the Girls!
The YAC meets virtually via zoom, across all Canadian time zones, monthly to talk and brainstorm about the development and delivery of Fast and Females’s programming. The time commitment ranges from 3-10 hours per month based on positions, interests and availability.
YAC members have the opportunity to develop key skills such as:
- Networking & Mentorship
- Effective Communication
- Time and Project Management
- Confidence
- Advocacy
- Program and Event Planning Development
- Job Readiness
