Manitoba Coach Recipient of the 2022 Community NCCP Coach Developer Award (Section 2)

Each season Skate Manitoba recognizes award recipients in Manitoba at our Annual Awards Celebration, being held this year at the Clarion Hotel & Suites on Saturday April 29th 2023.  Award recipients for the below awards were nominated by individuals, skating club or skating schools, in Manitoba.  We are excited to be recognizing the following individuals as the 2023 Award Recipients in Manitoba:

National Volunteer Award – Donna Wytinck, Carman Skating Club
Section Volunteer Award – Kristjana Kosheluk, Hazelridge Skating Club
Section Elizabeth Swan Memorial Award – Donna Wytinck, Carman Skating Club
Section Official Award – Rachel Nickel, Skate Winnipeg
Section Volunteer Coach Award – Teddi Garvey, Skate Brandon
Section Program Assistant Award – Jaron Pilat, East St. Paul Skating Club
Section CanSkate Award – Sijia (Scarlett) Zu, Skate Winnipeg
Section STAR Athlete Award – Cordelia Smith, Neepawa Figure Skating Club
Section Podium Pathway Athlete Award – David Howes, Skate Winnipeg
Ian Carmichael Memorial Award – Mattina Lisi, Skate Winnipeg
SynchroSkate Athlete Award – Cassandra Siemens, Morris & District Skating Club

In addition the celebrating the deserving award winners above, we will also be recognizing Megan Foster for their Community NCCP Coach Developer Award and recipients of Sport Excellence Awards, which include several Silver Awards.


Manitoba coach celebrated with Community NCCP Coach Developer Award

Winnipeg, MB – the most deserving and influential National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Coach Developers in Canada are honoured annually by the Coaching Association of Canada with the Community NCCP Coach Developer Awards. These awards recognize outstanding individuals who have gone above and beyond to inspire and develop NCCP coaches in their community.

Included among the 2022 recipients is Manitoba’s Megan Foster for their work in the sport of Figure Skating.

“Megan Foster is an invaluable resource and mentor for aspiring coaches,” said Evelyn Anderson, Interim Director of Marketing and Communications at the Coaching Association of Canada. “We are honoured to present Megan with a 2022 Community NCCP Coach Developer Award in recognition of the considerable time and energy they have invested into developing and educating NCCP coaches. Their work has had an overwhelmingly positive impact on their sport community.”

Skate Manitoba will present the award to Megan Foster at their Annual Awards Celebration on Saturday April 29th, 2023.
