Swimming releases annual RISE UP Report

Ottawa, November 25, 2022 — A year and a half ago, facing allegations of an unsafe environment at our Senior National Team and at a time when social and sporting worlds were calling for increased diversity, representation, inclusivity and safety, Canada Artistic Swimming (CAS) embarked on an ambitious plan to “do better” for our people and our organization.

Since, then, CAS has worked diligently toward improving its culture under a plan called RISE UP. Today, CAS released its 2022 Annual RISE UP Report that highlights the steps taken so far, reports on achievements and details upcoming steps.

As RISE UP Management Committee Chair Lindsay Duncan mentions, “We know culture change takes time, and we know there is a lot of work to do. We encourage registrants and our stakeholders to keep learning and growing along with us, improving our knowledge in the key areas of equity, diversity and inclusion”.

The Annual RISE UP Report is available for download here.
