Gymnastics Canada proud to announce the team travelling to Sofia, Bulgaria for the 2022 Rhythmic Gymnastics World ChampionshipsÂ
OTTAWA, ON (August 24, 2022) – Gymnastics Canada is pleased to announce the list of athletes, judges, and support staff who will represent Canada at the 2022 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria from September 14 to 18, 2022. Canada will have three senior individual gymnasts and one senior group competing in the 2022 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. The competition will be hosted at the Armeec Arena from September 14 to 18, 2022. Rhythmic gymnasts return home gold medallists following the team finals at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham
OTTAWA, ON (August 15, 2022) – The 2022 Commonwealth Games continued with the Rhythmic Gymnastics competition from August 4 to 6 in Birmingham. Team Canada captured the gold medal in the team finals as well as medal finishes in each of the apparatus finals. Team Canada finished in first place during the Rhythmic Gymnastics competition at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, UK from August 4 to 6. On the first day of competition, the team composed of Tatiana Cocsanova (Questo RG, QC), Carmel Kallemaa (Glimmer Athletes, ON), and Suzanna Shahbazian (Questo RG, QC) captured the gold medal during the team finals. Read more.
Emma Spence shines as a triple medallist at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Artistic Gymnastics
OTTAWA, ON (August 9, 2022) – The 2022 Commonwealth Games kicked off with Artistic Gymnastics from July 28 to August 2 at the Arena Birmingham, in England. Among the top performances was Emma Spence, who captured three bronze medals and quickly became a fan favourite for her fun-loving attitude on the field of play. The competition began with both the Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics teams finishing on the podium during the team event. Gavin Dodd sets new Canadian difficulty record for Double-Mini Trampoline at the 2022 Canadian Championships
OTTAWA, ON (August 5, 2022) – The 2022 Canadian Championships in Trampoline Gymnastics were held from July 21 to 24 in Calgary, AB. Among the top performances was Gavin Dodd, who set the new Canadian difficulty record of 20.8 on Double-Mini Trampoline and captured the gold medal in the senior men’s DMT competition. The previous record was held by Denis Vachon with a 20.0. Kieran Lupish captured the silver medal, and surpassed Vachon’s prior difficulty with a two-pass difficulty of 20.4. Read more.
