Senior Men’s National Team FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Qualifiers Media Availabilities

Canada will face Argentina at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, B.C. on Thursday, August 25 at 7:40 p.m. PT.

Media interested in attending practice are asked to RSVP to Matt Walker mwalker@basketball.ca for access.

Practices will take place at the both the University of Victoria’s CARSA (Centre for Athletics, Recreation and Special Abilities) (Gabriola Rd, Saanich, BC V8P 5C2) as well as the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre (1925 Blanshard St, Victoria, BC V8T 4J2) 

In addition, media interested in covering Thursday’s game are requested to apply for accreditation via the FIBA Media Portal. The deadline to apply for accreditation is Monday, August 22.

Please note: With an increase in COVID-19 cases, and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of all in attendance, media arriving attending practice may be asked to take a rapid test and wear a mask while in the gym.
Monday, August 22 – University of Victoria

7:15 p.m. PT – Arrival
7:30 p.m. PT – 7:45 p.m. PT – Gym opens to media (b-roll, photos), scrum interviews to follow practice

Tuesday, August 23 – University of Victoria

10:45 a.m. PT – Arrival
11:00 a.m. PT – 11:15 p.m. PT – Gym opens to media (b-roll, photos), scrum interviews to follow practice

Wednesday, August 24 – Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre

11:45 a.m. PT – Arrival
12:00 p.m. PT – 12:15 p.m. PT – Gym opens to media (b-roll, photos), scrum interviews to follow practice
