Day 3 Canada Games Results

St. Catharine’s, ON – Swimmers continue to improve during the third day of competition at the at the 2022 Canada Summer Games in the pool tonight!

Top swims tonight included Julie Nolan-McCarthy in the women’s 200m Breaststroke with a fourth-place finish with a time of 3:39.49, Canadian Special Olympian Landon Arbeau who made the A finals in the 100m Backstroke where he finished fourth with a lifetime best time of 1:19.41. The women’s 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay finished sixth with a time of 4:03.39; relay members included Rachael Blackmore, Julie Nolan-McCarthy, Cassidy Karrel and Éadoin McGrath.

Head Coach, Lance Cansdale was pleased with the results from the third day of competition with improved performances. “With each session, our athletes are showing more maturity and confidence in their racing.”

The Nova Scotia swim team is comprised of 23 able bodied swimmers (11 male and 12 female), and four Canadian Special Olympians.
