#BridgesofBelonging with Carey Newman & Kirstie Hudson

#BridgesOfBelonging is sharing the incredible stories of leaders sharing their vulnerable stories of Belonging.

This month we were grateful to be joined by Indigenous artist Carey Newman and Author and Journalist Kirstie Hudson. Carey and Kirstie shared about their journey in writing the two books we are featuring this month which both showcase the stories of the Witness Blanket, which is a project that commemorates the Truth and Reconciliation process and survivor stories. These beautiful books have been about connection and community, both in how they showcase the truths of our Indigenous histories in Canada and also how they can be a tool for your own reconciliation journeys. As Carey and Kirstie reflect on their journeys of belonging, they also recognize that the process of creating this art – the Witness Blanket and the books, have also been an integral part of their belonging journeys and learning about themselves and how to appreciate the perspectives of those around them. This vulnerable episode will create curiosity about what these stories can mean for you. Click here to watch Carey and Kirstie’s episode
