Invitation to begin N22 media accreditation process

Featuring 18 different sports, which will include an inaugural rugby sevens competition and the return of lacrosse after a 37-year absence from the Games, the 28th edition of the Canada Games will mark just the third time in history that this event will have taken place in the province of Ontario and the first time in 21 years.

The request form (linked here & found below) is the first of a two-step process to securing a media accreditation for the 2022 Canada Games. We’d please ask that you carefully read through each question and answer all of them. Once you have submitted the form, the Niagara 2022 Host Society and/or Canada Games Council will review each application and follow up with applicants individually. If your request for accreditation is approved, we will then follow up with you via email at our earliest convenience and provide you with further details on how to complete the registration process.

Additionally, below is a second form (linked here) for any member of the media that would like to be added to our media distribution list. We recognize that there might be media from various parts of the country outside of Niagara that will have an interest in covering the 2022 Games from a distance, and we want to make sure that we provide you (along with others) with a mechanism to stay informed both ahead of and during the Games. As such, by completing this form, we will add you to either the Niagara 2022 and/or Canada Games Council (CGC) distribution lists as requested.

Should you have any questions or concerns about the forms or media accreditation for the 2022 Games, please feel free to reach out to Christopher Séguin (Niagara 2022 Media & Communications Manager – cseguin@2022canadagames.ca), Shannon McCarter (Niagara 2022 Media & Communications Assistant Coordinator – smccarter@2022canadagames.ca) and/or Courtney Pollock (CGC Communications & Digital Media Senior Advisor – cpollock@canadagames.ca).

I thank you in advance for your time and consideration, and I hope you will join us this summer at Canada’s largest multi-sport event!
