Athlete Sponsorship: Opportunities & Pitfalls

February 17, 2022 1:00 PM EST
|

Building a brand, growing an audience and creating engagement opportunities.

About this event

Recent rule changes to name, image and likeness rights in the NCAA and the growth in influencer
marketing has amplified athlete sponsorship. How has this changed how brands engage with athletes?

In this virtual coffee chat, Susan Abramovitch, Gowling WLG, Peter Cosentino, Inspire Athlete Management and Lyle Adams, Spry join Brad McCabe, Sponsor Circle to discuss the unique approach and opportunities within athlete sponsorship. They will explore how brands can succeed sponsoring athletes;
building endorsement agreements; how teams, colleges & universities, and sports organizations factor into this process; and the impact sponsorship could have on scholarships and grant funding.

Bring your questions, challenges and insights to our open discussion, learning and networking session.
