TURKU, FIN. – Thirteen different players registered at least a point as Canada’s National Women’s Team shutout Finland 8-0 at the Gatorade Center Saturday afternoon in Turku, Finland.
- Natalie Spooner (Scarborough, Ont.) led the way with a hat trick for Canada.
- Marie-Philip Poulin (Beauceville, Que.) added a pair of goals, while Mélodie Daoust (Valleyfield, Que.) added a goal and two assists.
- Jaime Bourbonnais (Mississauga, Ont.) and Laura Stacey (Kleinburg, Ont.) added Canada’s other goals.
- Claire Thompson (Toronto, Ont.) tallied three assists in the game.
- Victoria Bach (Milton, Ont.), Emily Clark (Saskatoon, Sask.) and Jessie Eldridge (Barrie, Ont.) added two assists each.
- Kristen Campbell (Brandon, Man.) turned aside all 13 shots she faced for her first win and shutout with Canada’s National Women’s Team.
- Canada outshot Finland 37-13.
Following the games in Finland, Canada’s National Women’s Team returns to Canada for the Canadian leg of the Rivalry Series. Canada and the United States will play Nov. 21 in Kingston, Ont., followed by a game Nov. 23 in Ottawa.

For Bacher [Victoria Bach] to make that pass to me on the first for a breakaway, it felt pretty good to bury that one and set the tone for the game.”
