Testimonials
From training and mentoring our staff around strategic communications planning, to recommending and screening speakers, to crafting and disseminating social media messaging, to expertly hosting and facilitating online events, SIRC’s involvement has been instrumental in our efforts to move sport forward in the NWT. They are our one-stop get it done well, get done right, sport support leadership destination.
SIRC helped Ringette Canada with market research and the development of a report to drive new partnerships with equipment manufacturers. This work was so useful and the SIRC team did such a great job of pulling it all together. SIRC led the project whilst ensuring that the Ringette Canada voice and objectives were maintained.
As a researcher, the most successful outcome of my work is effective translation of existing and new concussion knowledge into the hands of people where it matters the most. Enthusiastic translational efforts by teams like SIRC not only help reduce this shelf-to-practice gap, but also places them at the forefront as active partners in research. Overall, it was a great pleasure working with the SIRC team.
It is easy getting things done with the Sport Information and Resource Centre. Huge knowledge and amazing connections within the Canadian sport sector. We had the privilege working with SIRC on multiple occasions and it was easy for us to implement the results from that collaboration.
SIRC has been an excellent resource and support for my knowledge mobilization needs. SIRC’s network across the sport community means knowledge and insights from that work is shared effectively with the practitioners and policy makers who it can best serve. I encourage my academic colleagues to reach out to SIRC and pitch an idea for a blog, a podcast or a number of other ways SIRC can help promote your work.Â
The scoping review is great. We really appreciate how the work is laid out in a format that is easy to understand and digestible and believe the Appendices only strengthen the document. This is something we would never have had the capacity or expertise to undertake and believe it is only going to positively impact our research work going forward.
